FEATHERSTON
EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the euchre party and dance held in the Pihautia Hall on Saturday night. Ine prize winners at cards were: —Ladies, Mrs Warrington, 1; Miss C. Palmer, 2; Men, Mr H. Frew, 1; Mr C. Corlet, 2. The Monte Carlo was won by Mr V. Bargh and Miss G. Enoka. Croquet Players Entertained. Miss Eva Card, president of the Haunui Croquet Club entertained the members in the pavilion. Miss Card was presented with a shoulder spray. She extended a warm welcome to those present. She proposed the toast of the club’s champions, Mesdames Watson and Hankers, the latter being also the Wairarapa B champion of champions. The toast was accorded musical honours, and Mesdames Watson and Hankers in responding thanked the hostess for her congratulations. Euchre was played during the evening, the winners being Mesdames Davis, Hankers, Buck and Miss Esma Card. Mrs Wakely expressed the thanks of those present to the hostess for the pleasant evening provided.
