DRUIDS’ LODGE
BUSINESS AT FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. SOCIAL SECURITY SCHEME. The fortnightly meeting of the Masterton Lodge was held in the Foresters Hall last night, Bro W. Rawson presiding in the absence of Bro F. Gray. The secretary reported that nine brethren had declared on the sick benefit of the lodge and one had declared oft’ the funds. A clearance was granted on behalf of a brother to Moturoa Lodge, New Plymouth. Correspondence from the secretary of Dominion Friendly Societies, relative to the Social Security Act was dealt with. A committee consisting of Bros F. B. Pickering, J. Buckton and N. Keightley was appointed to cooperate with the secretary in dealing with the position. Members are advised to attend their lodge meetings as business dealing with the Social Security Act is of vital importance to them. The next lodge meeting will take the form of a social evening and all members are requested to attend. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £l3 3s 4d were passed. Bro. A. G. Swinn Was elected as V. A. B. ..and was duly installed by. P.D.P. Bro. F. B. Pickering. .
