TERRITORIAL MOVEMENT

KEEN INTEREST IN MASTERTON. FULL TROOP OF MOUNTED MEN. Appeals made by the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, during Keep Fit Week for a more active interest in the Territorial movement apparently did not fall on deaf ears, as in recent weeks well over thirty recruits have joined up. There is now a full troop of Mounted Rifles in Masterton, whereas previously there was only one troop between Woodville and Masterton. The Mounted parades are well attended, while keen interest is also being taken in other Territorial units. The Mounted Rifles will go into camp at Waverley during May.
