KNOX LADIES’ GUILD
' SOCIAL GATHERING. A pleasant social afternoon was spent last Wednesday when the Knox Ladies’ Guild held its April meeting in the Primary Department. Mrs G. W. Morice, who presided, extended a welcome to two new members. Mrs Welch offered to take charge of the “Bring and Buy” stall at the May meeting. The Rev. J. Davie stated that the new Sunday School building would be completed in three months’ time. He said that it was hoped to open the building free of debt and to this end he suggested that members of the Guild might like to give their assistance; It was decided to hold a bazaar and to call a general meeting of all ladies of the congregation to discuss the project. • ) A very much enjoyed programme was contributed by the following ladies:—Vocal solos, Mesdames McMinn and Speight; piano solos, Mrs Miller Hope; elocutionary items, Miss Jean Douglas. A competition was won by Mrs F. Reynolds. Afternoon tea was served by members of the executive.
Votes of thanks were accorded to the ladies who provided the programme and to those who were responsible for the afternoon, tea.
