KOPUARANGA
MEETING OF WOMEN’S INSTITUTE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Kopuaranga Women’s Institute was held in the Hall on Thursday, Mrs Wright presiding over a fair attendance. Mrs Donald’s resignation from the committee was accepted with regret. Mrs R. Moon was appointed to the vacancy. A new member, Miss D. Kenny, was elected. The Roll Call, “The Most Interesting Place I Have Been,” was answered by all members present. Mrs S. J. Clarke demonstrated the making a vegetable bouquet. A successful “Bring and Buy” stall was held during the afternoon. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mcsdames E. C. Cottle and E. J. Wright. The results of the monthly competitions were as follow: —Guest towel, Miss Wright 1, Mrs Wright 2, Mrs Jarrett 3. Cheese scones, Mrs E. C. Cottle 1, Miss Wright 2, Mrs A. B. Cottle 3. Apple jelly, Mrs Clarke 1, Mrs Wright 2, Mrs Jarrett 3. The singing of the National Anthem brought the afternoon to a close.
