GOLD MINING RETURNS.
Grey River (West Coast). —Period ended April 11: 1240 z from 64,584yds in 84! hours. The dredge was closed down for 48 hours for the Easter holidays. Sandhills (West Coast). —19oz from paddeck on which work was commenced on March 15. The Nemona dredge return was 320 z for 149! hours and 11.300 cubic yards. The Blackball Creek return was 63 oz for 110 hours. Formal resolutions that the Waihi Grand Junction Gold Co, Ltd., should be wound up voluntarily were carried unanimously at an extraordinary general meeting held in London last month. The chairman. Mr W. P. Gauvain. stated that the company had accumulated funds which would enable the liquidator to distribute a satisfactory amount on each share.
