EKETAHUNA

RIFLE CLUB MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) Shooting at Kaiparoro over the 800 and 900 yards ranges to complete a trophy donated by Mr V. Capes, Rifleman R. Braddick won with a total score of 188.

Handicap limit: 96. Next Saturday the club will fire its Service shoot and it is desired that as many members as possible should attend.

YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Eketahuna and districts Young Farmers’ Club was held in the Nireaha Hall. The balance-sheet was read and adopted and showed a fair credit balance. The election of officers resulted as follows: Advisory chairman Mr C. Mills (Mr E. B. Terry, the retiring officer, not seeking re-election); chairman, Mr F. B. Rossiter (Mr R. Lawrence, immediate past president, did not seek re-election); hon secretary and treasurer, Mr E. M. Wright (reelected unopposed); advisory members, Messrs A. Golder, B. Morriss and J. C. Barnes; committee, Messrs S. Houston, S. Morriss, N. Cooper, the president and secretary; hon auditor. Mr J. L. Daysh; delegates to districtcommittee, senior delegate, Mr C. Mills; active members, F. Rossiter, E. Wright, S. Morriss. It was decided to leave the subscriptions at the same figure as in the previous year. It was resolved to alter the meeting night from the first Monday to the first Tuesday in each month. A visit to Massey Agricultural College was arranged and all those desiring to make the trip are asked to communicate with the secretary.
