GOLF CLUB COMPETITION. (“Times-Age” Special.) A flag competition will be played by members of the local Golf Club tomorrow. The draw is as follows: —Mrs Warren v. Mrs Gordon Sutherland; Mrs Bragg v. Mrs McKenzie; Mrs Carter v. Mrs Tikao; Mrs Herangi v. Miss Cock; Miss McDougall v. Mrs McLeod; G. Hall v. M. Herangi; B. McMaster v. S. Thomas; G. Sutherland v. D. Jones; W. Charteris v. M. Waiwera; M. McLeod v. R. McDougall; T. Hume v. D. Tikao: S. Hall v. J. Carter; F. Lovegrove v. G. Munro; J. Riwai v. K. Waiwera. Trap Shooting. Trap bird shooting enthusiasts are reminded of the shoot which will be held at the Lake Ferry on Saturday, April 22. It is fully expected that there will be a large attendance and the local club is using every endeavour to make the meeting a most successful one. Shooters from Wellington and Hastings, besides followers of the sport in the Wairarapa, have signified their intention of competing. Fuller details will appear in our advertising columns tomorrow. With reference to the advertisement of the South Wairarapa Gun Club which appeared in the issue of Saturday last the word “open” was inadvertently inserted instead of the word “club.” Pesonal Items. Mr and Mrs Jack Busch, Wellington, were visitors here for the holidays. Mr Guy Hume was a recent visitor to Wanganui. Miss Luke was a visitor to Wellington for Easter. Mrs Gilbert Sutherland is the guest of Mrs Staveley, Palliser Bay. Mr and Mrs Papanui, Gladstone, are visiting relatives in this district. * Miss J. Scrimegour is at present spending a holiday in Wellington. Mr Norman Allen, who was staying over the holidays with Mr Trevor Hume, has returned to Wellington. Mr Geo. Mann, Hawera, was the guest of his brother-in-law, Mr A. Spicer. over the holidays. Mr and Mrs Gordon Sutherland have taken up their residence in the district.
Mrs Chayton, who was the guest of her daughter, Mrs S. Thomas for a few days, has returned to Taumarunui. Mr and Mrs Roberts and Miss Roberts, who were staying at the Lake Ferry, have returned to Wellington. Mr and Mrs Duff’were among the many visitors who spent the Easter holidays in the district. Messrs Saunders and Boswell, Palmerston North, were the guests of Mr and Mrs Swainson for the holidays. Mrs Allen, Lower Hutt, was the guest for a few days of her daughter, Mrs Hapi Sutherlahd. Mr Mclsaac, who has been staying with his nephew, Mr Gordon Mclsaac, has returned to Tinui. Messrs lan Tilson, N. Hume and I. Nicol have left on a motor tour to the northern districts.
Mr and Mrs Guy Didsbury, Wellington, were the of Miss Nellie McDougall for the Easter holidays. Mr and Mrs Fleming, who were the guests of Miss McDougall over Easter, have returned to Khandallah. Mr and Mrs Sutherland, Wellington, spent the Easter holidays and Mrs G. Gillies, Waipatu. Mr and Mrs Taurau and the Misses Taurau and Barclay, who attended the Mormon conference at Huntly, have returned home.
