Mr and Mrs John Hawksworth, of Gisborne, are spending a holiday with Mr and Mrs T. Hawksworth, Masterton. Mrs J. W. Riley and Miss Doreen Riley, of Gisborne, who have been on a visit to Masterton, returned home today. Miss R. Robinson, of Essex Street, Masterton, has returned from a holiday spent at New Plymouth and Opunake. Miss J. Williamson, of Masterton, who has been visiting Christchurch, has returned home. Mr and Mrs A. Dale, of Wellington, have been visitors to Masterton as the guests of Mr and Mrs Worthington, Colombo Road. Mrs C. E. Basham and her daughter Betty, of Auckland, are the guests of Mr and Mrs Louis Spackman, Dixon Street, Masterton. Mr and Mrs Norman Blatchford, of the Training Farm, Master ton, spent Easter with their daughter, Mrs Alan Burt, South- Featherston. Mrs G. P. H. Davidson and Mr George Davidson, Kelburn, Wellington, were the guests of Mrs K. McLaren, of Hinakura, for the Easter holidays. On Tuesday evening a gift evening Was tendered to Miss Smith, daughter of Mr and Mrs Archie Smith, Park Road, Carterton, by her many friends in honour of her approaching marriage. The function was held in St Mary’s Hall, Carterton, and a very pleasant time- was spent. The bride-to-be was the recipient of many useful and valuable gifts. Guests of Mr and Mrs K. Gordon Smith, Hamua, during the Easter holidays included Mr and Mrs Jack Murphy and Clyde Murphy, Mr and Mrs Jas L.
