SHANGHAI CLASH
INCIDENT IN NIGHT CLUB BRITISH AND OTHER SOLDIERS ATTACKED. ITALIANS USE BOTTLES AND CHAIRS. (Independent Cable Service.) SHANGHAI, April 12. Forty-two Italians attacked a small band of British, French and American soldiers in a night club last night, using bottles and chairs. Italian officers got their men back to barracks except for four, who were knocked out by punches. Three French soldiers received severe head wounds and a Seaforth Highlander a cut forehead. A Russian dancer was taken to hospital.
