LEAGUE OF NATION’S UNION

MASTERTON BRANCH MEETING. # BIRTHDAY' CELEBRATION. A meeting of the Masterton branch of the League of Nations Union Council was held on Tuesday, Mrs T. R. Barrer being in the chair. Letters from many organisations were received and interesting discussions arose therefrom. The secretary's and treasurer’s report and balance-sheet were approved for placing before the annual meeting which, it was decided, should tube place at 7.30 p.m. on May 2. An invitation was received for members to attend the twenty-first birthday celebrations of the League of Nations, to be held in London in October. Members are invited to send in gifts of 21 pence, shillings or pounds, to be forwarded to London as a birthday gift. The resignation of Mr Kemnitz from the council owing to transfer elsewhere was accepted with regret. It was decided that a wreath should be ordered for Anzac Day and placed an the Memorial by Mesdames Miller and Cameron.
