PICKED ROMNEYS
RAMS TO BE EXHIBITED AT CENTENARY. SELECTED FROM WAIORONGOMAI STUD. (By Telegraph—Press Association.! CARTERTON, This Day. Two stud Romney one-shear rams, the property of Mr R. W. Matthews, of Waiorongomai, have been selected by a committee of the Romney Marsh Sheepbreeders’ Association for exhibition at the centenary and the Royal Show at Windsor (England) after which they will be auctioned. The Waiorongomai Stud, one of the oldest in New Zealand, was founded in 1875. The rams are typical of the modern type of Romneys—low set,, thick and impressive looking —being excellent representatives of the breed.
