NEW BATHS

FACILITIES IN MASTERTON. SWIMMING CLUB PATRON WELCOMES MOVE. “I am very pleased to see that the Masterton Borough Council has before it a proposal for the provision of new baths in Masterton,” said Mr H. E. Pither, patron of the Masterton Swimming Club, this morning. Mr Pither said there was no doubt that new baths were badly wanted in Masterton, especially in view of the increased prominence given to swimming in. recent months. He had, in conjunction with the late Mr Peacock, and the swimming community generally, made representations for some years past for better swimming facilities in Masterton, and it was gratifying to him and others that there was some prospect in view of new baths being obtained.
