MOSLEMS DENOUNCE ITALY’S ACTION IN INVADING ALBANIA. PROTESTS MADE IN INDIA & NORTH AFRICA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, April 10. Messages from Calcutta report widespread Moslem indignation at the invasion and bombardment of Albania. Sir Khwaja Nazimuddin, Home Minister of Bengal, in a speech at a Moslem conference yesterday, condemned the “heinous crime and outrage against humanity.” It is reported from Paris that the French President, M. Lebrun, and the Prime Minister, M. Daladier, have received protests from Mohammedan leaders in Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco against the invasion of Albania. The entire Mohammedan world of North Africa is highly indignant and united in supporting any move to prevent further' Italian aggression. TITLE DENIED. DUCE NOT THE DEFENDER OF ISLAM. A Moslem deputation conveyed a resolution to the Italian Embassy protesting against the Albanian invasion and demanding that Signor Mussolini renounce the title of “Defender of Islam.” OILFIELDS WORKING. GUARDED BY ITALIANS. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) TIRANA, April 10. Troops from planes have occupied Koritza (adjacent to the Greek frontier). Work has been resumed at the Albanian oilfields, with soldiers standing by. MORE ARRIVALS TROOPS AND TECHNICIANS. LANDED FROM PLANES. (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) TIRANA, April 10. Troops, technicians and medical corps continue landing from planes, each carrying twenty to thirty fullyequipped men. " ALBANIAN RETREAT. MANY SOLDIERS DISARMED IN YUGOSLAVIA. (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) BUCHAREST, April 10. M. Gafencu has returned from Istanbul and received the Yugoslav Ambassador and also the French, Italian and Hungarian Ministers. Many Albanian troops crossed the border and were disarmed. They state that the Italians are forty miles from the Yugoslav frontier.
