It is reported from St Jean de Luz that Signor Mussolini has sent a full division of Alpine troops to Spain since the end of the Spanish war. Tliey landed at Cadiz on March 31, and April 1, totalling 17,000. It is learnt from Italian circles that they will be sent to the Pyrenees French frontier. Though it is officially denied that there are more than 18,000 Italian legionaries still in Spian, it is learnt from an unimpeachable authority that the number is between 50,000 and 60,000, and more are constantly arriving. A Burgos message says it is officially denied that fresh Italian troops have arrived at Cadiz. Those still in Spain are expected to leave soon after Genenarl Franco’s official entry into Madrid.
