CARTERTON SALE. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—A small yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward at Carterton sale on Thursday and was offered to a fair attendance. Practically a total clearance was effected under the hammer at late rates. Prices ruled as follows: — Sheep: B.F. lambs, 10s 5d to 12s 2d; b.f. lambs (small), 4s lOd to 7s 6d; shorn ewe lambs, to 10s 6d; fat lambs, 19s to 21s. Cattle: Springing Jersey cows, to £8; fat cows, £4 to £5 10s; forward cows. £2 16s to £3 10s; store cows, 35s to £2 ss; cows and calves, £2 to £3 10s; potter bulls, to £3. Pigs: Weaners (good), 8s to 10s; weaners (medium), 5s to 7s; weaners (small), 3s to 4s 6d; slips, Ils to 14s; store pigs, 16s to 18s 6d; light porkers, 20s to 24s 6d; porkers, 28s 6d to £2 ss; choppers, to 40s.
