AIR RAID SHELTERS
INCREASE IN PRODUCTION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 5. Orders are being placed for a further million portable air raid shelters, prolpptipg fpur to five mil|ipns. The output is'being accelerated with the object of doubling the distribution rate. The delivery of shelters began on February 25. Three hundred thousand wilT be distributed by May 11, giving shelter to 1,600,0(10. The Civil Defence Bill was read a second time in the House of Commons.
