WHOLESALE PRICE INCREASED. ECHO OF CHINESE-JAPANESE WAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI. This Day. Wanganui retailers have been advised that, consequent upon the ChineseJapanese war Japan has restricted manufacturers’ raw materials; consequently there has been a 40 per cent increase in Japanese wholesale prices for silk and art silk fabrics. Retail prices shortly will be affected by this increase.
