PRICES FOR FATS IMPROVE. A sustained demand with prices on the upgrade for lats was a feature al today's Masterton stock sale. Buyers were keenly interested in the large yarding and values remained fully firm on late rates. Fat lambs sold from 15s 5d to 19s Gd and fat ewes up to 14s 6d. Fat wethers made from IGs 9d to 19s, while b.f. 2-ths. sold at 14s Bd, 15s 5d to 19s. Twotooth ewes realised IGs 3d to 19s 5d and 4-yr. old ewes to 15s.
