ALBANIA’S FUTURE

POSSIBILITY OF ITALIAN PROTECTORATE ECONOMIC POSIHON BECOMES WUrtSE. DISCONTENT AMONG PEOPLE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, April 4. The Rome correspondent of "The Times” expresses the opinion that Italy may possibly be contemplating some form of protectorate in Albania, even taking virtual possession of the contry, which for a long time has appeared to be her ultimate aim. Albania’s economic position has lately become worse, and the people are discontented. King Zog may have agreed to accept a protectorate in his own interests. It is stated without confirmation in Rome that 20,000 troops are standing by at Brindisi and Bari. Well-inform-ed quarters declare that any action taken will be with the consent of King Zog.
