GRANDSTAND COLLAPSES

The grandstand at Rochdale football ground containing 1500 spectators collapsed in sight of 50000 spectators yesterday, killing one and injuring 19. SECOND DEATH. (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, April 2. A second death occurred as the result of the grandstand collapse at the Rochdale football ground. The match was the semi-final Rugby League match, Wigan versus Salford, which the latter won 11/2.
