BETTER CONSUMPTION
CANADA THIRD ON LIST. OTTAWA. Canadians are th*e third largest consumers of butter in the world, being exceeded only by New Zealanders and Australians. According to a survey by the Imperial Economic Committee, per capita consumption of butter in New Zealand in 1937 was 40.7 pounds, in Australia 34.2 pounds, in Canada 32.7 pounds, in the United Kingdom 24.8 pounds, in Germany 19.6 pounds, in Denmark and Belgium 17.9 pbunds, andin the United States 16.7 pounds.
