BASKETBALL
HIGH SCHOOL OLD GIRLS. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the High School Old Girls’ Basketball Club was held last evening, there being a fair attendance.
It was decided to enter two teams in the competitions, one in the A grade and one in the B grade.
Last year’s captain, Miss H. Winter, was re-elected. The secretary, Mrs M. Finlayson, was also re-elected. The following selection committee was appointed: Misses E. Stubbings, H. Winter, J. Russell and Mrs M. Finlayson. Owing to the success of social evenings last year, it was decided to hold several this year. It was disclosed that the finances of the club were in a very satisfactory condition. The prospects of the coming season appear to be very bright. At the conclusion of the meeting, supper was served, and thanks tendered to the hostess.
