FOOTBALL CLUB MEETING

(“Times-Age” Special.)

At the annual meeting of the members of Martinborough Football Club, Mr R. P. George presided. ■ The report for the past season was read and adopted, and the balancesheet disclosed a debit of £7 Ils 4d for the year. In moving the adoption of the report the chairman congratulated last year’s third grade team on winning the championship, and paid special tribute to Mr F. Harley, the coach.

Officers elected for the season ware: Patron, Mr W. J. Martin; president, Mr T. Scott; vice-presidents, Messrs M. Quin, F. Brough, W. B. Martin, F. Ward, A. F. Harding, Q. Donald; secretary, Mr E. McAlpine; treasurer, Mr R. P. George; club captain, Mr P. Lynch; committee, Messrs P. Michael, T. Grant, P. Ward, W. Bliscett, F. Holland, G. Brasell, E. Dempsey, M. Hancox, and S. Chapman; delegates to W.R.U., Messrs Q. Donald, R. P. George and E. McAlpine. It was decided to enter junior and third grade teams for the competitions.
