Messrs Levin and Co Ltd have received the following cable from their London agents, dated March 30. “Frozen meat quotations (prices on a ‘delivered’ basis, . i.e., including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc.): — North Island down lambs, 28/361bs, 7d; ditto, 36/42, 6.ifd; best North Island Xbd lambs, 38/36, 6 7-8 d; ditto, 36/42, 6 5-8 d; North Island second quality lambs av 30/311bs, 6 5-8 d; best North Island wether sheep, under 481bs. 4 7-8 d; 48/56. 4 l-8d; 56/64, 3:,'d; 64/72, 3£d; North Island ewes, under 481bs, 3 3-8 d;, 48/565, 3d; 56/645, 23d; 64/725, 2id; N.Z. prime ox beef, 160/220, none offering. Compared with last week’s quotations, crossbred lamb, 36/421bs, are l-8d per lb lower, wethers, u/481bs, l-8d per lb higher. 56/721bs, l-8d per lb lower, ewes under 641bs,‘.‘,d per lb higher; others unchanged. .- The market is steady.
