GOOD GROOMING

FOR GOOD CURTAINS. To restore the colour of ecru and beige curtains, try washing them in clear coffee. When washing coloured curtains loosen them from their linings at the hems and remove all hooks and rings, then place them in a- large bath of soap-flake suds. Be sure not to soak them, but stir and knead the material for a few minutes only; Transfer them to a bathful of clean suds and repeat the process until the curtains are clean. Next, rinse’in three waters and put through the wringer, and be sure to hang evenly over the line.
