TO ENFRANCHISE WOMEN
IN SOUTH WEST AFRICA. REQUEST TO GOVERNMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. WINDHOEK, March 28. The legislature is requesting the Union Government to amend the constitution of South-West Africa in order to enfranchise women. The Deutscher Bund representative, Herr Meinert, opposed the proposal on grounds that Germans thereby would be placed in such minority that it would not be worthwhile to contest any constituency.
