Macdonald Dorothy, a 16-year-old Canadian cow is believed to be the world’s champion Ayrshire butterfat producer. During 216 days of her present and 10th lactation period, she produced 11,552.9 pounds of milk and 551.49 pounds of butterfat. Added to her previous production, her total is 7.003.49 pounds of butterfat from 165,633.9 pounds of milk: in 3,480 milking days, which is believed to be a record life-time production.
