FEATHERSTON
SCHOOL ASSOCIATION. MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Home and School Association was held on Monday night, Miss Card presiding and there being also present Mesdames Saunders, Harkness, J. Buck, McKenzie, Lawson and Rea, Messrs Allen, Cole, Lowell, Robbins and the headmaster (Mr Hayes). Apologies for absence were received from Mrs Carlyon and Messrs Shepherd and Halpin. Mr Hayes exhibited samples of wool weaving by the children, which so appealed to those present, that it was decided that the committee make a donation of £2 towards me purchase of more wool. It was resolved that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to the juvenile entertainers for their much appreciated efforts. ‘ A vote of thanks and appreciation was extended to the committee, who so successfully conducted the weekly euchre parties in the interest of the association.
Tf was decided that the annual meeting be held in the schoolroom on May 1. The meeting closed with a hdarty vote of thanks to Miss Card. Bowling. Four* rinks from Featherston visited Martinborough during the weekend, the result being two wins for Featherston and two for Martinborough.
