IRISH REPUBLICAN SOLDIERS’ DECLARATION. TRIAL AT THE OLD BAILEY. By Telegraph—Press Assentation—Copyright LONDON. March 28. Five persons accused in the explosives trial at the Old Bailey, speaking from the dock today, declared that they wore not criminals, but Irish Republican soldiers fighting for the freedom of Ireland. They would continue to fight as long as British soldiers remained in Ireland. ACCUSED SENTENCED. UP TO 17 YEARS' IMPRISONMENT IMPOSED. ißeceived This Day. 9.55 a.m.) LONDON. March 18. The Irish Republican Army members connected with the recent bombing outrages were sentenced at the Old Bailey as follows: Mason, 17 years' imprisonment,- Stuart and Preston respectively 15 and 12 years. Casey, 14 years. Healy and Lyons each 10 years. Kane, 7 years, O’Shea. 5 years and Walker 18 months.
