END DEMANDED IN RUMANIA IN INTERESTS OF NATIONAL UNITY. EX-MINISTERS PETITION KING ‘ CAROL. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright BUCHAREST, March 28. Thirty-three ex-Ministers, including the former Premiers, M. Maniu and M. Micescu, sent a memorandum to King Carol today demanding the end of the one-party system in the interests of national unity. The signatories declare that King Carol recently assumed too much responsibility and authority, and demand the establishment of a “Government ol national unity and national faith,” having direct contact with the people.
