AUCKLAND POLICE RAID

SEQUEL IN COURT.

ACCUSED REMANDED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 27. Following a police raid on two houses in Hobson Street on Saturday night, 24 persons, three of them women, appeared in thfi Magistrates’ Court today, having spent the weekend in the cells. One woman was charged with being the occupier of a house frequented by reputed thieves or persons without visible means of support, and the tw’o other women were charged with being idle and disorderly. All were remanded till April 3, bail being allowed. The men arrested were charged with being idle and disorderly and with being found in company with reputed thieves and ■ persons without lawful visible means of support. All were remanded till April 3, bail being allowed in each case.
