AUCKLAND WOOL SALE CONCLUDED RECENT RATES MAINTAINED. BRISK BIDDING CONTINUES. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright, AUCKLAND, This Day. Auckland’s record wool sale continued today as it began yesterday with brisk bidding and values steady at recent rates ruling in other centres, Starting at 9 o’clock the sale went with a swing and the two remaining catalogues, comprising 1349 lots containing 11,386 bales, were all sold before 11 o’clock.

Of the total catalogues, aggregating 36,185 bales, about 5 per cent, was passed at auction and this percentage will be further reduced by private negotiations nefore buyers leave for Wanganui. Brokers seem well pleased with the results.

Bradford appeared to be the most active bidder, with the Continent competing keenly. Little wool was bought for Japan and none worth mentioning for America.

Receipts from the sale should bring the total for Auckland’s clip this season to about £1,00,000, which is practically the same as last season, lower prices having been offset by larger offerings this season. LONDON SALE. LITTLE CHANGE IN PRICES. (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, March 27. The Bradford tops market is quietly steady. ■ At the wool sales 6654 bales were offered. including 3423 New Zealand and 5570 were sold. There was a good selection, including a large supply of crossbreds. Rates were generally firmly maintained. New Zealand greasy crossbred, Crescent, average, sold at fid. Top price was lOd.
