Baillieu, speaking for the other two part owners announced that Ajax will not start in the Chipping Norton Stakes at Warwick Farm on Saturday. Defaulter will have his first Australian race in the Chipping Norton Stakes, in which he will be opposed by Spear Chief, the conqueror of Ajax. AUCKLAND MEETING THREE HORSES SCRATCHED. FOR ALL ENGAGEMENTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Smoke Screen, Russian Ballet and Ruatiti were scratched for all engagements at the Auckland meeting at 9 a.m. today.
