INDOOR BOWLS
MASTERTON CLUB. ANNUAL REPORT. The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club’s annual report for the 1938 season states: —On behalf of your committee I present the annual report and balance sheet for the 1938 season. The financial position is again very satisfactory. All the competitions were keenly contested, and the following were the winners of the various sections: —Rinks, J. Martin, C. Moore, H. Thompson, W. Hendry (s); Pairs, M. Curtin, S. Kennard (s)'; singles, W. Hendry. Several enjoyable evenings were spent with other sports bodies, and I hope the incoming committee will endeavour to promote this branch of the club’s activities.
Several games were played for the Park Ferns, the present holders being A. Wiltshire and S. Kennard (s). To the above players mentioned I extend my hearty congratulations, and also to those other members who showedgood sportsmanship throughout the season. I also wish to thank your committee for their valuable assistance with a special mention of appreciation for the secretary Mr C A. Leigh for the untiring efforts on behalf of the club.
The annual meeting will be held in the Foresters Hall on Thursday, March 30, at 7.45 p.m., and I hope all members and intending members will be present.
