PRICE OF WOOL PACKS
INCREASED IN AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FOXTON, This Day. After a lengthy discussion Melbourne woolhouses have increased the price of woolpacks for the coming year, by 9d per pack, this rise reflecting, an increase in price in the Calcutta market for these goods. Prices, of all jute goods in India have been rising steadily and, now that mills in that country have reached an agreement* regarding working hours in the jute trade, opinion in Melbourne is that a strong position may be sustained.
