MASTERTON-OPAKI CLUB.
CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY J. W. CURTIN.
Consistently brilliant shooting over all ranges with a possible at 900 yards made J. W. Curtin club champion for this season and winner of short, long and combined aggregates for the day. Holding fifth position with eight points below the leader at the commencement of the final field day his performance is an' excellent one especially as this is only his second season. While some high scores were recorded, E. M. Wrigley registered the only other possible. The following are the leading scores in the championship:—J. W. Curtin, 464, 1; V. E. Donald, 462, 2; D. P. Donald, 458, 3; H. K. Smith, 458. 4; H. King. 455. 5; E: M. Wrigley, 453, 6; B. R. Jenkins, 450, 7; J. Bouzaid, w4, 8; C. M. Pickering, 444, 9; I. Sutherland, 436, 10. Saturday’s scores are as follow:—
Two shooters did not complete thr series. B. R. Jenkins won the handicaj championship and Williams Rose Bowl for short range aggregate over bolt field days. The Donald Cup for lon.' range aggregate was won by J. W. Cui* tin. The season will close on Saturday next with the service class-firing Every member is urged to be presen to qualify for the free ammunitioi grant.
