RUMANIA UNDER DOMINANCE OF GERMANY
Result of Recent Trade Pact SERIOUS VIEW TAKEN IN POLITICAL AND COMMERCIAL CIRCLES (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) LONDON, March 24. Both political and commercial circles in London take a most serious view of the Rumanian—German trade pact, believing Rumania has now passed into the orbit of Germany, which country Henceforth will dominate Rumania completely, despite Rumania maintaining a semblance of independence. It is generally regarded as the biggest move in the German drive to the East and possibly may have a catastrophic effect on peace-front plans as it may influence other Balkan countries to throw in their lot with Herr Hitler.
