MASTERTON SHOW
SATISFACTORY FINANCIAL STATEMENT. GOOD PROFIT MADE. A profit of £lO7 Is 4d was made on the recent Masterton Show as compared with £127 9s 9d last year, according to a statement submitted to last night’s meeting of the A. and P. Association. Members considered the result most satisfactory, and the president, Mr P. R. Welch, congratulated all concerned on the gratifying outcome. The principal items in the statement were as follow, the corresponding figures for last year being shown in parentheses: Receipts: Entry fees, £655 14s (£669 10s); gates, £420 15s (£344 17s); donations, £159 16s (£l6l 4s 6d); night show, £l2l 9s 6d (£lOl 4s); sale of show stock, £194 17s 6d (£263 0s 6d); guessing competition, £46 (£27 9s 4d). Totals, £lB6O 9s 2d (£1839 2s 7d). Expenditure: Prizes £776 (£764 15s 4d) advertising and printing £255 14s 5d (£251 0s 8d); wages, £136 17s (£ll6 15s): judges, £B6 (£97 ss) totals, £lB6O 9s 2d (£1839 2s 7d). The ram fair resulted in a profit of £145 19s as compared with a profit last year of £124 6s Id. There was a loss on the luncheon account of £B7 19s lOd as against a loss last year of £76 16s lid.
