MEETING OF WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. GOOD SEASON IN PROSPECT. The eighth annual meeting of the Wairarapa Wrestling Association (ind.), was held on Thursday evening, Mr A. J. Snelgrove, president, presiding over a fair attendance. The report (already published), and balance sheet were adopted, the latter showing the association to be in a fairly strong position for which the Management Committee was thanked. The following were elected to office for the current year:—Patron, Mr E. G. Norman (re-elected); president, Mr A. J. Snelgrove (re-elected); vice-presi-dents, Messrs G. A. Hansen, S. J. O’Regan and C. Parsons (Eketahuna); C. Wenden, Les. Lambess (Featherston); G. A. Vincent and F. Yule Junr, (Carterton); Fred. Brough (Martinborough), J. Jameson, H. J. Wardell and J. A. Wardell (Masterton); executive committee, Messrs W. C. Orange, J. C. Broad, E. Bell, E. C. Fowler, Geo. Davies, W. S. Flaws, J. E. Smith, H. Hughan, S. A. Mannering and A. C. Beckett; hon. secretary, Mr E. Bell; hon. treasurer, Mr W. C. Orange; announcer, Mr J. C .Broad; time-keeper, Mr Geo. Dallas; medical officers, Drs. J. A. Cowie, J. C. Forsyth and H. B. Bernie; auditor, Mr P. L. Gully. The president and hon. secretary were appointed delegates to the Dominion Union Annual Conference to be held in Wellington on Tuesday, March 28. , It was decided to present the local amateur championship cups at a social to be held in Featherston at an early date. ’ . .

Advice from the Dominion Union indicated that a good season was in prospect but would not open till May and probably continue'till November for the opening of the Centennial Exhibition. The team was being carefully selected and patrons could depend on seeing good matches. Business in connection with the amateurs engaged the attention of members and a vote of thanks to the chair closed the meeting. ■
