BAN ON VEGETABLES
AUSTRALIAN (REGULATIONS GAZETTED. FEARS OF WHITE BUTTERFLY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. \ CANBERRA, March 23. Regulations were gazetted today to prohibit the importation of a wide range of vegetables from New Zealand unless they are certified to come from areas free from white butterfly. The vegetables affected are cabbages, cauliflowers, brussels sprouts, turnips, radishes, and similar classes subject to infestation by the butterfly. The lifting of the embargo to allow the importation into Australia of 1000 tons of potatoes was also gazetted today.
