Should Defaulter, who is the ruling favourite for the Sydney Cup, not start in the Rawson Stakes tomorrow he will give an exhibition gallop with the colours up. Defaulter yesterday defeated Silver Standard over a mile at Randwick in 1.48 J. As the flags were out seventy feet on the course proper the time was good. MANAWATU MEETING TRACK IN SPLENDID ORDER.
