CHILDREN’S HOME
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEET.
The chairman, Mr J. H. Handysido, presided at the monthly meeting of the Masterton Methodist Children’s Home committee. .L.k.
The report of the matron for the month was very satisfactory. One of the older boys had recently visited the Home and he seemed to be doing quite well. There were 32 children in the Home. The financial statements showed a surplus of £3 18s on the month and a credit of £271 in the Bank. Accounts amounting to £45 were passed for payment. The sums of*'£l3 and £8 had been received from an estate. The chairman announced that Mr C. E. Jones was leaving Masterton, and a message of appreciation and goodwill was extended to him.
Subject to the formal approval of the Wellington Board Mr.W. R. Nicol was appointed secretary-manager of the Home.
