MODEL AERO CLUB
MEETING AT TE ORE ORE.
EXCELLENT PERFORMANCES. Members of the Masterton Model Aero Club held a flying meeting at the Te Ore Ore grounds last week-end. Although no official times were taken there were a number of good flights in both the rubber and gas-powered sections. W. G. Perry’s gas model in particular put up two good flights, in one case the model landing over three miles from the flying ground. H. Fulton’s tow-line glider made an excellent flight of fourteen and a half minutes, out of sight. The model was launched on a 150 ft. towline and rose in a slow thermal current, finally disappearing at approximately 2000 feet, flying in an easterly direction. The model was not recovered and Mr Fulton would be pleased if anyone finding it would get in touch with him through the club.
