RIFLE SHOOTING. KAIPARORO CLUB. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Kaiparoro Rifle Club fired over the 500 and 600 yard range on Saturday commencing a competition for a trophy donated by Mr V. Capes. The highest scorers for the day were Riflemen C. Neilson, R. Braddick, J. McAnulty and L. McLachlan, with 94 points each. Scores: —

At the monthly meeting of the Returned Soldiers’ Association it was an-nounced-that the Dominion Executive Committee of the New Zealand Returned Soldier’s Association had selected Master David Golder, son of Mr A. G. Golder, as a member of the party of sons of New Zealand Returned Sold* iers which is to visit Australia upon the invitation of the Returned Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Imperial League of Australia. The President, Colonel A. H. Herbert, congratulated Mr Golder on the selection of his son, and said he was' confident • that Master David would worthily represent the members of the Eketahuna R.S.A. The party will leave Wellington by the Awatea on Monday, April 3. Personal. The members of the executive committee of the Eketahuna Returned Soldiers’ Association at the monthly meeting referred to the loss which the Association has suffered by the departure of Mr R. B. McLellan from Eketahuna. Mr McLellan had been secretary of the Association for a number of years and it was felt by the various speakers that the ex-servicemen of the district would be the poorer for his departure. Mr M. P. Shale was elected secretary, and Mr O. Walton was elected auditor in succession of Mr Shale.
