GERMAN GENERAL STAFF ANGRY CZECHS DESTROY VALUABLE DOCUMENTS. MOBILISATION ARRANGEMENTS. (Independent Cable Service.) PRAGUE. March 22. The value of the war materials, stores and buildings taken over by Germany is estimated to be £360,000,000. The German general staff is reported to be furious because the plans for the co-ordination of the mobilisation operations of Czechoslovakia. France, Russia and the Little. Entente have disappeared. It is believed that the Czechs destroyed them before the German entry.

PRAGUE, March 22. President Hacha has appointed a “Committee of the National Community” of 50 members to replace Parliament. No well-known people are included. General Gajda, who proclaimed -himself the Czechs Fuehrer, is a notable absentee. The Cabinet at present retains office, but new members are being appointed subject to German approval. It is reliably stated that German troops have not entered Eastern Slovakia. RUMANIA PREPARES. MANY TAXIS REQUISITIONED. BUCHAREST, March 22. The army requisitioned many taxis and thousands of carthorses. Herr 'George Schmidt, secretary of the .German legation, has committed suicide by poison. He stated that recent developments had caused a nervous breakdown. RESERVISTS CALLED UP. STREEETS ALIVE WITH TROOPS. (Received This Day, 10.37 a.m.) LONDON, March 22. The British United Press Bucharest correspondent says that, after calling up reservists 500,000 men will be under arms. The streets are alive with fully equipped troops. NONINTERVENTION BOARD ITALY AND GERMANY WITHDRAW BODY BEING DISSOLVED. (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, March 22. Italy ' and Germany informed Lord Plymouth that they are not subscribing further to the Non-Intervention Board, and for this reason all land and sea observers are being withdrawn and the board is being dissolved.
