SCHOOL CARNIVAL

MASTERTON WEST ON SATURDAY. The Masterton West School funds should benefit considerably as a result, of the carnival to be held in the school grounds on Saturday afternoon, commencing at 2 o’clock. The committee. always noted for energetic work, has made a particularly special effort. for this occasion and an attractive array of stalls and sideshows will make a wide appeal. Even in these days of rigid state control of educational organisations, there are increasing demands on local school funds fov_ developmental work, and the cause of theMasterton West School is a worthy one. One of the features of the Carnival will be a concert by the .children and afternoon tea will be served.
