LADIES’ SOCIAL GUILD.

MEETING IN MASTERTON.

The monthly meeting of the Methodist Church Ladies’ Social Guild took place in the Sunday School Hall on Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. F. Parker was in the chair.

After the opening hymn,-Mr Parker led the meeting in prayer. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Cocker, McEwen, Milne, Elliott and Daniell.

The Church Trustees wrote acknowledging the gift of £5O from the Guild for the upkeep of Church buildings. Final arrangements were made for the garden' party to be held at tffe residence of Mrs Jas. Elliott. “Gartlough,” Colombo Road, on Saturday, March 25.

Items were rendered by Mrs N. H. Prior, Miss Jackson and Mr Parker. Mrs Parker was appointed to judge the entries for the work stall Is article competition.

Afternoon tea was dispensed by the h ostess, Mrs J. Handyside, assisted by Mrs. Shoosmith. A vote of thanks to those who gave items and to the hostess was carried unanimously. The meeting closed with the pronouncing of the Benediction.
