YOUNG FARMER TOURISTS

VISIT TO THE WAIRARAPA. A party of North Taranaki Young Farmers which visited the Wairarapa yesterday were met at Penrose by Mr N. Lamont, district secretary, and members of the Masterton Young Farmers’ Club.

Sir William Perry gave an interesting talk on Romney sheep, his address being greatly appreciated by the visitors. Later in the afternoon a visit was paid to the Wairarapa Training Farm where the party was conducted on a tour of inspection by the manager, Mr. Blatchford. In the evening the visitors were the guests of the Masterton .Club at a picture entertainment and afterwards at supper.

Mr Blake, on- behalf of the visitors, heartily thanked the local club for its hospitality.
