ULTIMATUM PRESENTED
Demand for a Free City
THREAT OF GERMAN OCCUPATION (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) WARSAW, March 21; It is reported that Herr von Ribbentrop handed over an ultimatum demanding that Memel be a free city from now on and the withdrawal of Lithuanian troops, police and frontier guards. The ulti.matum threatened German occupation not only of Memdl but of Lithuania unless the demands were met.
